Google Cloud Developer Relations is seeking a Developer Advocate specializing in Python advocacy to join their Modern Development advocacy team. This role combines technical expertise with community engagement, focusing on empowering developers across application lifecycles. The position involves collaborating with developer communities, creating technical content, and representing developer interests within Google.

The role is part of the Cloud Developer Relations team, specifically within the Modern Development advocacy team. Their mission centers on empowering software developers and operators throughout the entire application lifecycle, with a focus on Runtimes, DevOps, and AI-assisted SDLC. The position requires a unique blend of technical knowledge and communication skills, as you'll be creating content, delivering presentations, and building relationships with the developer community.

As a Developer Advocate, you'll work at the intersection of technology and community, helping developers build, innovate, and scale with confidence using Google Cloud technologies. The role offers competitive compensation, including a base salary range of $122,000-$178,000, plus bonus, equity, and comprehensive benefits.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to manage product engagement and identify user needs
  • Attend or facilitate conferences and events to gain and share insights on user experience and technologies
  • Lead strategic developer programs and act as an authority in the domain
  • Contribute input and feedback on products or programs, and represent the interests of partners to internal stakeholders
  • Create engaging content, including blog posts, tutorials, videos, and demos

Requirements For Developer Advocate, Cloud Python Advocacy

Python
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a similar technical field, or equivalent practical experience
  • 3 years of work experience in a technical role (e.g., software development, solutions consultant, etc.) or equivalent technical experience
  • Experience creating and delivering technical presentations, workshops, and training sessions
  • Experience in software community engagement
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Passion for developer communities
