Responsibilities For Developer Relations Engineer, Android

  • Work with developers and internal stakeholders to identify opportunities and implement changes in tooling, libraries, and guidance
  • Understand community usage of Compose and Jetpack libraries to identify and resolve bottlenecks
  • Collaborate with product and engineering teams to provide API/library feedback and influence product roadmap
  • Create scalable developer resources including blog posts, sample code, codelabs, and guidance

Requirements For Developer Relations Engineer, Android

Kotlin
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
  • 3 years of experience in Android app development
  • 1 year of experience in Kotlin programming language
  • 4 years of experience in building Android apps (preferred)
  • Experience rolling out new technology to improve developer productivity (preferred)
  • Experience contributing to an open source project (preferred)
  • Experience debugging performance issues in Jetpack Compose (preferred)
