Responsibilities For Developer Relations Engineer, Android Camera and Media

  • Work with developers and internal stakeholders at Google to identify opportunities and land changes in tooling, libraries, and guidance
  • Understand how the community is using Compose and other Jetpack libraries and what bottlenecks are slowing down developers work
  • Collaborate with product and engineering teams to provide feedback on APIs/libraries
  • Create scalable developer resources including blog posts, sample code, codelabs, and opinionated guidance

Requirements For Developer Relations Engineer, Android Camera and Media

Kotlin
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
  • Experience working on technical projects for Android App development
  • Experience in Kotlin programming language
  • 2 years of experience in building Android apps (preferred)
  • Experience launching new technology within the company to enhance developer productivity (preferred)
  • Experience debugging performance issues in Jetpack Compose (preferred)
  • Experience contributing to an open source project (preferred)
