Description For Developer Relations Engineer III, Android Games

Google is seeking a Developer Relations Engineer III for Android Games. This role is part of the Game Developer Relations team, which empowers Android game developers to create positive gaming experiences using Android libraries, tools, and Play services. The successful candidate will be the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the Android Dynamic Performance Framework (ADPF), coordinating ADPF work-streams across the team and providing feedback to ADPF engineers to improve the product based on developer engagements and feedback.

Key responsibilities include collaborating with cross-functional teams, attending and facilitating conferences and events, leading strategic developer programs, contributing input on products, and providing on-site technical engagement. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in Android development, game engines, and performance analysis.

Responsibilities For Developer Relations Engineer III, Android Games

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to manage product engagement and identify user needs
  • Attend or facilitate conferences and events to gain and share insights on user experience and technologies
  • Lead strategic developer programs and act as an authority in the domain
  • Contribute input and feedback on products or programs, and represent the interests of partners to internal stakeholders
  • Provide on-site technical engagement (e.g., code analysis and contribution) for showcase product integrations and resolution of launch blockers

Requirements For Developer Relations Engineer III, Android Games

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a similar technical field, or equivalent practical experience
  • 3 years of work experience in a technical role (e.g., software engineering, solutions consultant, etc.) or equivalent technical experience
  • 2 years of experience coding in C or C++
  • 1 year of experience with performance analysis
