Google's Raxium display group is at the forefront of revolutionary semiconductor materials display technology, specifically focused on advancing augmented reality (AR) and light-field display applications. As a Display Product Failure Analysis (FA) Engineer, you'll join a dynamic team pushing the boundaries of custom silicon solutions for Google's direct-to-consumer products.
Your role will be crucial in performing failure analysis to identify root causes for failures in microLED display components, circuits, sub-assemblies, and products. You'll utilize a combination of circuit diagnostics, fault isolation techniques, and material characterization methods to understand failure mechanisms in microLED backplanes, drivers, and displays.
The position offers a competitive salary range of $147,000-$216,000, plus bonus, equity, and comprehensive benefits. You'll work from the state-of-the-art compound semiconductor fab in Fremont, California, where you'll collaborate with various teams including FA operations, CMOS, Control, and Test teams to improve product designs and yields.
This role requires a strong background in CMOS technology, with at least 4 years of experience in a CMOS technical environment (or 3 years with an advanced degree). Your expertise in display backplane debugging, statistical data analysis, and various failure analysis techniques will be essential in contributing to the innovation behind products used by millions worldwide.
The role combines technical expertise with collaborative problem-solving, offering the opportunity to shape the next generation of hardware experiences while delivering unparalleled performance, efficiency, and integration. As part of Google's commitment to innovation, you'll be working on technology that bridges the digital and physical realms, potentially revolutionizing how users interact with display technology.
