Description For Engineering Analyst Lead, Account and Device Intelligence

Google's Trust & Safety team is seeking an Engineering Analyst Lead for their Account and Device Intelligence division. This role combines cybersecurity expertise with AI-driven solutions to protect Google's vast user base. As a lead analyst, you'll work at the intersection of security, data analysis, and artificial intelligence, developing sophisticated detection systems and threat intelligence capabilities.

The position offers a unique opportunity to impact user safety across Google's entire product ecosystem, including Search, Maps, Gmail, and Google Ads. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product Management, Software Engineering, Machine Learning experts, and Security Engineers, to devise comprehensive strategies against cyber threats.

Your responsibilities will span from building AI-based detection systems to managing incident responses and setting technical direction for the team. The role requires a strong background in data analysis, project management, and security, with at least 5 years of relevant experience. You'll be instrumental in evolving Google's security infrastructure, automating processes, and developing intelligence on threat actors.

Responsibilities For Engineering Analyst Lead, Account and Device Intelligence

  • Build an Artificial Intelligence (AI) based capability leveraging transformers based detection system to evolve and automate incident response
  • Apply threat intelligence to respond to new adversarial campaigns
  • Manage the response to incidents aiming Google accounts, including severe incidents in collaboration with software engineering
  • Scale the operational work required to protect Google accounts, manage low severity escalations and alerts, and maintain ground truth quality
  • Set technical direction for the Trust and Safety Account and Device Intelligence (ADI) analysts, growing and retaining talent

Requirements For Engineering Analyst Lead, Account and Device Intelligence

Python
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering, Math, Physics, etc.), or equivalent practical experience
  • 5 years of experience in data analysis, including identifying trends, generating summary statistics, and drawing insights from quantitative and qualitative data
  • 5 years of experience managing projects and defining project scope, goals, and deliverables
  • Experience in deriving actionable insights, root-causes, and intelligence from data sources
  • Experience in data analysis and related tools
  • Experience in account security, network engineering, malware, or signal usage topics
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills
