As an Engineering Director for Machine Learning Lineage and Governance at Google, you will utilize expertise in Machine Learning, Large-Scale System Design, Responsible AI, or related areas. You will leverage your experience in Computer Science with a focus on Machine Learning, ML Infrastructure, and Responsible AI. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure comprehensive, automated, and robust ML lineage.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop transparent and automated ML lineage and governance infrastructure and tooling for developing and launching Generative AI models and products in a compliant, secure, and safe manner.
- Balance ML lineage and governance needs with developer velocity.
- Work with partners across Google to drive adoption.
- Influence partners and stakeholders within and across organizations to build joint roadmaps and drive outcomes for AI governance.
Qualifications:
- 15 years of engineering and technical leadership experience.
- Experience managing partnerships or client relationships.
- Experience with Engineering Tools and Infrastructure.
- Preferred: Experience working with LM/GenAI infrastructure.
- Preferred: Experience managing risk for organizations of Engineers.
- Preferred: Technical expertise in systems and software with the leadership skills required to influence technical leaders across the company.
- Preferred: Ability to quickly ramp up in new subject areas with short notice to guide mission-critical research into the largest potential risks related to Google infrastructure usage.
- Preferred: Excellent thought-leadership, relationship building, and management skills, with internal stakeholders and external partners.
This role offers a competitive salary range of $278,000-$399,000 + bonus + equity + benefits, determined by factors such as job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
