This role combines strategic leadership with hands-on sales expertise, requiring you to build and maintain executive relationships while driving business growth.

You'll be responsible for developing your team's talents and skills, ensuring they exceed business goals and maintain high customer satisfaction. The position demands a deep understanding of technology and its business applications, as you'll work closely with Customer Engineers and Google Partners to create new opportunities and guide public sector customers through their cloud journey.

The role is part of Google Cloud, which provides enterprise-grade solutions leveraging Google's cutting-edge technology, serving customers in over 200 countries. Responsibilities For Field Sales Manager, Public Sector, Google Cloud

  • Lead a team of Field Sales Representatives (FSRs) and build an inclusive growth culture
  • Build executive relationships with customers and influence long-term direction
  • Lead account strategy in generating and developing business growth opportunities
  • Represent the territory in business planning, town halls, and team meetings
  • Travel to and present at customer meetings, conferences, and other related events

Requirements For Field Sales Manager, Public Sector, Google Cloud

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
  • 10 years of experience in technology-related sales or business development at a B2B software company
  • Leadership experience (people management, team lead, mentorship, or coaching)
  • Australian Citizenship
  • Must obtain NV1 clearance under Australian Government Protective Security Policy Framework
  • 10 years of experience managing and leading a team (preferred)
  • Experience working with cross-functional internal teams and external partners
  • Ability to manage business and commercial models
