As a Field Sales Manager in the Public Sector division, you'll lead a dynamic team of Field Sales Representatives across Australia and New Zealand, focusing on government and public sector clients. This role combines strategic leadership, relationship building, and technical sales expertise.

You'll be responsible for developing and executing sales strategies for public sector accounts, working closely with C-level executives to understand their unique challenges and goals. The position requires a strong background in technology sales, with emphasis on cloud solutions and digital transformation. You'll collaborate with Customer Engineers and Google Partners to create new opportunities and guide public sector customers through their cloud journey.

The role offers the opportunity to work with Google's industry-leading cloud technology while making a significant impact on how public sector organizations leverage technology. Responsibilities For Field Sales Manager, Public Sector, Google Cloud

  • Lead a team of Field Sales Representatives (FSRs) and build an inclusive growth culture
  • Focus on talent strategy and skills development to exceed business goals
  • Build executive relationships with customers and influence long-term direction
  • Lead account strategy in generating and developing business growth opportunities
  • Represent the territory in business planning and team meetings
  • Travel to and present at customer meetings, conferences, and other events

Requirements For Field Sales Manager, Public Sector, Google Cloud

Kubernetes
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
  • 10 years of experience in technology-related sales or business development at a B2B software company
  • Leadership experience, such as people management, team lead, mentorship, or coaching
  • Australian Citizenship is required
  • Must obtain NV1 clearance under Australian Government Protective Security Policy Framework
  • Experience working with cross-functional internal teams and external partners
  • Ability to manage business and commercial models
