This role combines strategic leadership with hands-on sales expertise, requiring you to build and maintain executive relationships while driving business growth.

You'll be responsible for managing and developing a high-performing sales team, creating an inclusive culture that promotes growth and excellence. The position demands a deep understanding of technology sales, particularly in the public sector, where you'll work to understand and address unique organizational challenges and goals.

  • Lead a team of Field Sales Representatives (FSRs) and build an inclusive growth culture
  • Focus on talent strategy and skills development to exceed business goals
  • Build executive relationships with customers and influence long-term direction
  • Lead account strategy in generating and developing business growth opportunities
  • Represent the territory in business planning and team meetings
  • Travel to and present at customer meetings, conferences, and other events

Requirements For Field Sales Manager, Public Sector, Google Cloud

Kubernetes
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
  • 10 years of experience in technology-related sales or business development at a B2B software company
  • Leadership experience, such as people management, team lead, mentorship, or coaching
  • Australian Citizenship is required
  • Must obtain NV1 clearance under Australian Government Protective Security Policy Framework
  • Experience working with cross-functional internal teams and external partners
  • Ability to manage business and commercial models
