Firmware Engineer, Camera

Google is seeking a Firmware Engineer to join their Camera team in Seoul, South Korea. This role is part of the Devices & Services team, which combines Google's AI, Software, and Hardware expertise to create innovative user experiences. The position focuses on developing camera solutions, including quality design and imaging algorithm evaluation and development.

As a Firmware Engineer, you'll be at the forefront of camera technology development, working with cutting-edge imaging signal processing features and algorithms. The role requires expertise in software development, particularly in C++ and Python, along with a strong understanding of image processing and computer vision.

The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science, with at least one year of programming experience. Preferred qualifications include a Master's degree or equivalent experience in image processing and computational photography, along with expertise in imaging system tuning and quality evaluation. Knowledge of color space algorithms and hardware optimization is highly valued.
