Description For Gemini Partner Engineer, gTech Users and Products

Google's gTech Users and Products (gUP) team is seeking a Gemini Partner Engineer to join their mission of advocating for Google's users by creating helpful and trusted experiences across the product ecosystem. This role focuses on expanding Gemini's capabilities, working with internal and external partners to build AI tools for task automation and personalized assistance. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Google Tech Stack, Python, and Colab, and will contribute to building productionizable, scalable solutions for 1P/3P partners to create Gemini experiences. The role involves working closely with Gemini PM/Engineering, 1P teams, BD, and 3P partners to support partner and user needs. Key responsibilities include leading technical integrations, contributing to Gemini's evolution through LLM-based solutions, influencing product strategy, and staying current with industry trends in machine learning. This position offers an opportunity to shape the future of human-AI interaction in a fast-paced, nascent environment.

Responsibilities For Gemini Partner Engineer, gTech Users and Products

  • Lead technical integration and launch of new partner integrations within Gemini, ensuring a frictionless partner and user experience. Improve existing partner/user experience and grow user value
  • Contribute to the evolution of Gemini through Large Language Model (LLM)-based solutions/processes (ex: tools / colabs) for partner schema ingestion, data preparation and quality iterations (prompt engineering, running evals, loss bucket analysis, Supervised Fine-Tuning (SFT) data points)
  • Influence product strategy and work with cross-functional teams to bring partner-facing features to market
  • Advocate seamless partner and user experience and advocate for user and partner success with engineering and product teams
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends and latest machine learning research, tools and techniques

Requirements For Gemini Partner Engineer, gTech Users and Products

Python
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience
  • 6 years of experience leading multi-month, cross-functional projects, and working with internal/external stakeholders and partners or customers
  • 6 years of experience with Python and C++ software development, architectural components, and system design
  • Experience in Machine Learning (RAG, fine tuning, prompt engineering, etc.), web technologies and technical troubleshooting
