As a GEO Auto Forward Deployed Engineer at Google, you will be responsible for the technical relationship with automotive partners, focusing on GEO products integration. Your role involves leading efforts to enable Google Map and Automotive SDK integration on partners' IVI systems. You'll triage issues raised by partners and resolve them effectively. The position requires balancing business and partner needs with technical constraints, developing innovative solutions, and acting as a consultant. You'll build tools, automate products, oversee technical execution and business operations of Google's partnerships, and develop product strategy.
Key responsibilities include leading automotive partners in integrating Google Maps and Automotive SDK across complex domains, managing partner relationships, driving issue resolutions, representing partner requirements internally, and supporting the Geo Auto Forward Deployed Engineering team as a subject matter expert. You'll work closely with teams across Geo Auto, Geo Developer, and Android organizations to ensure a uniform and complete automotive solution.
The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, 6 years of experience in system design or programming languages like Java, C++, or Python, 6 years in technical troubleshooting and partner management, and 5 years as a technical consultant in the Automotive field. Preferred qualifications include 8 years of experience managing projects and working with Navigation technologies, and experience with Android Auto.
