As a Group Product Manager for Cloud Spanner, you'll be at the forefront of database innovation, enabling businesses to deliver scalable, secure, and reliable solutions without managing distributed databases themselves.
The role involves working with Google's world-class teams to guide products from conception to launch, connecting technical and business aspects. You'll be responsible for shaping product strategy based on market trends and customer needs, while working closely with engineering, design, marketing, and field teams to drive product development and go-to-market strategies.

Responsibilities For Group Product Manager, Cloud Spanner
- Build a clear understanding of database technologies, market trends, and customer requirements to help shape the overall product strategy
- Interact with customers and partners for understanding the key requirements and help define a credible product roadmap
- Drive product development collaborating closely with engineering, user-experience design, finance, product operations, marketing, and field teams
- Drive positioning, pricing, and go to market strategy for our launches
Requirements For Group Product Manager, Cloud Spanner
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
- 10 years of experience in product management or related technical role
- 5 years of experience taking technical products from conception to launch
- Experience developing or launching products or technologies within databases, analytics, big data, or related area
- Experience with Cloud Observability (preferred)
- Experience managing products from conception to launch and working with cross-functional teams (preferred)
- Experience managing business strategy and execution (preferred)
- Ability to work with executives, product leaders, and executive engineering leaders (preferred)
