Description For Group Product Manager, Machine Learning Frameworks Applied Ecosystem

Google is seeking a Group Product Manager to lead their Machine Learning Frameworks Applied Ecosystem team. This role is part of the ML, Systems & Cloud AI (MSCA) organization, which is responsible for the hardware, software, machine learning, and systems infrastructure for all Google services and Google Cloud. The position focuses on developing ML Frameworks that enable developers to utilize models and innovations across internal and external AI ecosystems, with a particular emphasis on Keras while collaborating with teams working on JAX, PyTorch, and serving technologies.

The role involves working with both internal product areas and the external OSS community, driving ML excellence for Google and the worldwide developer community. The team's mission is to ease ML product development and accelerate ML innovation from Google research to all of Google's products. The position requires deep expertise in product management, technical leadership, and AI/ML domain knowledge.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in product management, technical product development, and specific expertise in AI/ML model development. Responsibilities For Group Product Manager, Machine Learning Frameworks Applied Ecosystem

  • Understand the workflows of internal and external applied ML Developers
  • Engage with Google product areas and the wider community to understand their needs and build platform features to enable use cases
  • Drive strategy and roadmap development for machine learning stack tooling
  • Lead teams through defining, identifying, collecting, and tracking appropriate product or business metrics
  • Communicate with and influence executive leadership and provide thought leadership on ML ecosystem strategy

Requirements For Group Product Manager, Machine Learning Frameworks Applied Ecosystem

Python
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
  • 10 years of experience in product management or related technical role
  • 5 years of experience taking technical products from conception to launch
  • Experience with the domain area of Generative AI or Large Language Models
  • Master's degree in a technology or business related field (preferred)
  • 6 years of experience in full life-cycle product management and delivery (preferred)
  • 3 years of experience with AI/ML model or tooling development (preferred)
  • 3 years of experience with engineering (preferred)
