Google is seeking a Hardware Architect for their Core IP Silicon team to drive innovation in custom silicon solutions for direct-to-consumer products. This role combines hardware architecture expertise with multimedia processing, focusing on Camera ISP, Video, TPU, GPU, and Display IPs. The position offers an opportunity to shape the next generation of Google's hardware experiences, working with cutting-edge technology and diverse teams.

Responsibilities For Hardware Architect, Core IP, Silicon

  • Collaborate with Camera, Video, Display, Graphics Processing Unit (GPU) and Tensor Processing Unit (TPU) software, system and algorithm engineers
  • Define and deliver hardware IP architecture specifications that meet power, performance, area and image quality goals
  • Collaborate with Camera Image Signal Processor (ISP), video, display, GPU and TPU hardware IP design teams
  • Collaborate with SoC and System/Experience architects on meeting dynamic power, performance and area requirements
  • Perform detailed data analysis and tradeoff evaluations to improve multimedia architecture solutions

Requirements For Hardware Architect, Core IP, Silicon

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience
  • 5 years of work experience in ASIC hardware architecture and silicon design
  • Experience in micro architecture, power and performance optimization
  • Knowledge of interconnect/fabric, security, multi-level caching architectures
