Description For Hardware Architect, Core IP, Silicon

Google is seeking a Hardware Architect for their Core IP, Silicon team to develop custom silicon solutions for direct-to-consumer products. Responsibilities For Hardware Architect, Core IP, Silicon

  • Define and deliver the hardware Graphics/ML IP architecture that meet competitive power, performance, area and image quality targets
  • Collaborate with Graphics, Camera, Video, Display and ML software, system and algorithm engineers
  • Collaborate with GPU, TPU, camera ISP, video and display hardware IP design teams across global sites
  • Collaborate with SoC and System/Experience architects on meeting aggressive power, performance and area requirements
  • Perform detailed data analysis and tradeoff evaluations to improve multimedia architecture solutions

Requirements For Hardware Architect, Core IP, Silicon

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience
  • 5 years of work experience in ASIC hardware architecture and silicon design
  • Experience architecting and designing low power multimedia hardware IP for SoCs
  • Knowledge of interconnect/fabric, security, multi-level caching architectures
