Description For Hardware Engineering Intern, PhD, Summer 2025

As a Hardware Engineering Intern at Google, you will work on core Consumer Hardware products, designing, developing, and deploying next-generation consumer hardware while ensuring reliability. This internship is intended for PhD students in their penultimate academic year, pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field. Responsibilities may vary based on specific teams, but you can expect to work in areas such as Hardware System Integration, Signal and Power Integrity, System Validation, Wireless Communications, Product Design, Computer Architecture, Digital Design Verification, Digital Circuits, ASIC Physical Design, FPGAs, Embedded Systems, and Memory Systems.
