Description For Head of Developer Policy Support, Trust and Safety

Google's Trust & Safety team is seeking a Head of Developer Policy Support to lead their policy support function within Developer Experience (DevEx). This senior leadership role involves managing and scaling support operations for Play Store developers, ensuring policy compliance while maintaining high developer satisfaction. The position combines technical expertise with strategic leadership, requiring 13+ years of experience in Trust and Safety or related fields.

The role focuses on protecting users and partners across Google's product ecosystem while building and maintaining developer relationships. You'll lead a team responsible for resolving policy issues, improving operational processes, and working cross-functionally with product management and engineering teams. The position offers a competitive salary range of $198,000-$282,000 plus comprehensive benefits, equity, and bonus opportunities.

As a leader in this role, you'll be responsible for establishing best practices, developing scalable support solutions, and driving continuous improvement in operational metrics. Responsibilities For Head of Developer Policy Support, Trust and Safety

  • Manage developer support function, providing guidance and coaching in establishing and running a developer policy support within Trust & Safety (T&S)
  • Oversee the timely and effective resolution of policy issues reported by developers
  • Work with product management, engineering, and account teams to advocate for developer needs
  • Evaluate and improve support processes, tools, and workflows to enhance efficiency and customer satisfaction
  • Manage high priority escalations that occur outside of standard non work hours including weekends/holidays

Requirements For Head of Developer Policy Support, Trust and Safety

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
  • 13 years of experience in Trust and Safety, Operations, or Service Management
  • 2 years of experience leading teams or people management
  • Master's or PhD in a relevant field or equivalent practical experience (preferred)
  • 15 years of experience in Technology, Product Policy, Trust and Safety or related fields (preferred)
  • Experience leading and mentoring teams in a developer support or customer success environment
  • Experience working with policy teams
  • Ability and passion to provide excellent customer service and building relationships with developers
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in a fluid environment
