Google's Manufacturing Operations team is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join their Technical Infrastructure division. This role is crucial in developing and maintaining Google's state-of-the-art physical infrastructure, which powers one of the largest computing systems in the world.

The position involves evaluating product designs and creating processes, tools, and procedures that support Google's infrastructure. You'll work closely with vendors during parts manufacturing, ensuring processes are repeatable and controlled. As a Manufacturing Engineer, you'll be responsible for supporting test development for hardware designs in Compute, Storage, Networking, and Machine Learning Data Center products. Responsibilities For Manufacturing Engineer, Testing Engineering, Rack Integration

  • Support manufacturing test development for new and existing hardware designs to support Compute and Storage, Networking, and Machine Learning Data Center products
  • Define the manufacturing test strategy for new products and work with our partners to jointly develop the required test solutions
  • Write test plans and drive test coverage based on product requirements
  • Analyze, troubleshoot, and root cause manufacturing yield issues, field escapes, and drive issues to closure with preventive measures
  • Identify DFT opportunities, document and collaborate with design engineering (hardware/software) for implementation prior to manufacturing builds

Requirements For Manufacturing Engineer, Testing Engineering, Rack Integration

Python
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering or equivalent practical experience
  • 5 years of experience in manufacturing
  • Experience in embedded software or test automation with Python
  • Experience with developing manufacturing test hardware using electronics, fixturing, and instrumentation
  • Understanding of networking fundamentals in PCIe, Ethernet, and TCP/IP
  • Ability to generate product-specific test plans and execute testing accordingly
