Google's Manufacturing Operations team is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join their Technical Infrastructure division. This role is crucial in maintaining and developing Google's powerful computing infrastructure, one of the largest in the world. You'll be responsible for evaluating product designs and creating processes, tools, and procedures that power Google's technology.

As a Manufacturing Engineer, you'll work directly with vendors during parts manufacturing, ensuring processes are repeatable and controlled. Collaboration with Commodity Managers and Design Engineers will be key in determining infrastructure needs and product specifications. Your expertise will be vital in ensuring all components of Google's infrastructure integrate perfectly, maintaining smooth system operations for optimal user experience.

  • Write test plans and drive test coverage based on product requirements
  • Analyze, troubleshoot, and root cause manufacturing yield issues
  • Identify DFT opportunities and collaborate with design engineering

Requirements For Manufacturing Engineer, Testing Engineering, Rack Integration

Python
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering or equivalent practical experience
  • 5 years of experience in manufacturing
  • Experience in embedded software or test automation with Python
  • Experience with developing manufacturing test hardware using electronics, fixturing, and instrumentation
  • Understanding of networking fundamentals in PCIe, Ethernet, and TCP/IP
  • Ability to generate product-specific test plans and execute testing accordingly
