Google's Manufacturing Operations team is seeking a Manufacturing Hardware Technical Lead for their Google Cloud division. This role is crucial in developing and maintaining Google's powerful computing infrastructure. As a Manufacturing Hardware Technical Lead, you'll be responsible for evaluating product designs and creating processes, tools, and procedures for Google's search technology. You'll work closely with vendors to ensure manufacturing processes are repeatable and controlled, and collaborate with Commodity Managers and Design Engineers to determine infrastructure needs and product specifications.
The role requires a strong background in electrical/computer engineering, with at least 8 years of experience in technical leadership, board and system manufacturing, or program management. You'll need expertise in board layout, high-speed signal processing, signal integrity, power distribution techniques, validation, and lab bring-up and debug. Experience in managing suppliers and partners for implementing test hardware requirements in manufacturing is essential.
Key responsibilities include leading the development of custom test systems, partnering with test engineering teams for New Product Introduction (NPI) products, managing procurement and budgets, driving technical discussions, and participating in design validation and system integration activities.
