Google Cloud is seeking a Manufacturing Test Development Engineer to join their infrastructure team. This role combines software development expertise with hardware testing knowledge to ensure Google's massive computing infrastructure maintains its excellence. The position requires 8 years of experience in languages like Python or Java, and involves leading the development of test systems for next-generation hardware.

The role is critical in maintaining Google's world-class infrastructure, where you'll work on creating processes, tools, and procedures for Google's powerful technology stack. You'll collaborate directly with vendors, Commodity Managers, and Design Engineers to ensure manufacturing processes are repeatable and controlled. Responsibilities For Manufacturing Test Development Engineer, Google Cloud

  • Lead and implement the system firmware and software development for next-generation test cards and systems
  • Design and implement tools for automating diagnostics, performance evaluation, and reliability assurance
  • Define the manufacturing test strategy for new products and work with partners to develop test solutions
  • Support manufacturing test software for new and existing hardware designs
  • Write test plans and drive test coverage based on product requirements

Requirements For Manufacturing Test Development Engineer, Google Cloud

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
  • 8 years of experience developing with Python, Java or C++
  • Experience in managing suppliers and partners in implementing design requirements
  • 2 years of experience with software or firmware (preferred)
  • Experience in development of manufacturing test software (preferred)
  • Experience in development of software test solutions for complex computing, storage, and networking products (preferred)
  • Ability to communicate clearly with contract manufacturers and peers in worldwide geographies
  • Excellent leadership, investigative, quantitative reasoning, problem-solving, creative and strategic skills
