Responsibilities For Mobile Engineering Manager, Google Home App
- Build and manage a strong, diverse, and inclusive organization to operate in a highly matrixed cross-functional environment
- Be accountable to deliver high quality foundational components across Google Home Apps, to drive scalability, subscription growth, and app development velocity
- Define and build an extensibility smart home platform to enable rich and scalable feature development across first-party and third-party partners
- Drive technical roadmap and prioritization for GHA infrastructure, to enable rapid feature development across devices
- Advocate tech debt elimination and scalable system architecture by partnering with ATLs and XTLs across the organization
Requirements For Mobile Engineering Manager, Google Home App
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
- 8 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g., Java, Kotlin, Swift, Obj-C)
- 3 years of experience in a technical leadership role
- 2 years of experience in people management, supervision/team leadership role
- Experience in Android or iOS
- Experience managing Engineering teams, defining strategy and objectives
- Strong ability to collaborate with other people, teams and functions across the world
- Excellent verbal and written communication, people, and analytical skills
- Proficiency in designing, building, and debugging mobile applications
