Google is seeking a Network Implementation Engineer to join their Edge Delivery team, playing a crucial role in executing deployment, maintenance, and operations of private data networks worldwide. This position serves as the cornerstone of Google's network infrastructure efforts, which provides services to millions of Internet users globally.
The role involves working closely with Technical Program Managers, Network Engineers, Design and Infrastructure Engineers, and Field Engineers, as well as external vendors and contractors. You'll be responsible for building and maintaining the world's most reliable, cost-effective, and scalable network to support current and future customers and users globally.
The Network Team manages the full lifecycle of space, power, and network assets in all of Google's data centers and metro points of presence globally. From site acquisition to construction, the team is involved in every aspect of network delivery, including architecture, design, installation, configuration, activation, and commissioning.
Key responsibilities include supporting design teams, updating documentation, troubleshooting capacity workflows, and driving continuous process improvement. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Network Engineering or related field, 3+ years of experience in DWDM or TCP/IP, and strong collaboration skills.
