Responsibilities For Network Operations Engineer, Technical Infrastructure

  • Respond to network outages by providing a diagnosis of Layer 1 to Layer 3 network errors and initiate and complete network repairs
  • Develop workflows and systems to diagnose optical Layer 1 and Layer 3 network issues to completion
  • Participate in 24/7 global team shift rotations
  • Provide remote support for field operations related to network repairs
  • Interface with high-level customers communicating repair status and updates as needed

Requirements For Network Operations Engineer, Technical Infrastructure

Python
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, a related field, or equivalent practical experience
  • 2 years of experience in telecommunications at carrier scale working with optical network infrastructure, transmission systems, layer2/3 routers, and data services
  • Experience in network operations and systematic troubleshooting
  • Experience with rack and stack, installation, commissioning, and maintenance of routers and other network equipment
  • Ability to code in Python or a similar programming language
