Network Transport Engineer, Deployments

Google's Network Engineering team is seeking a Network Transport Engineer to join their infrastructure team. This role is crucial in operating Google's network that serves millions of Internet users worldwide. The position involves working with optical transmission systems, network design, and operations, ensuring reliable service delivery at scale.

As a Network Transport Engineer, you'll be responsible for planning and executing the deployment of Haul and Metro Optical Systems, collaborating with field teams globally, and implementing solutions to optimize network rollout efficiency. You'll work directly with planning, architecture, and operations teams to maintain and enhance Google's network infrastructure.

The role requires expertise in DWDM, TCP/IP, and system design operations, along with strong knowledge of fiber optics and testing tools. You'll be part of the Technical Infrastructure team that builds and maintains Google's data centers and platforms, ensuring optimal network performance and user experience.
