Google is seeking an Operational Support Systems and Data Communications Network Support Manager to join their Technical Infrastructure team. This role is crucial in building, operating, and promoting global infrastructure to support Google Global Networking growth and open networking objectives. The position focuses on managing Google Submarine Networks' Layer 2-3 IP Secure Data Communications Network and Operational Support Systems.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in network operations, program management, and network security. They will work closely with various stakeholders including the Network Operations Center, Security teams, and technology suppliers to ensure optimal system performance and reliability. The role involves both technical leadership and strategic planning, requiring someone who can balance hands-on technical work with high-level program management.

Responsibilities For Operational Support Systems and Data Communications Network Support Manager
- Review Design, Implement and Operationally manage Google Submarine Networks (GSN) Layer 2-3 IP Secure Data Communications Network (DCN) and Operational Support Systems (OSS) and Cloud based applications and systems
- Work with stakeholders, supporting Global Submarine Networks (GSN), Network Operations center (NOC) to develop systems operating processes
- Work with user groups, access Security, Engineering, Software teams, suppliers to develop improvements/innovation/improved processes in OSS usability and performance
- Work with technology suppliers, security, risk and compliance teams to ensure Google maintains the highest levels of reliability
- Monitor and troubleshoot network and OSS systems performance, Implement Service Performance Measures and Service Performance Analysis
Requirements For Operational Support Systems and Data Communications Network Support Manager
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT System Administrator, or in a related field, or equivalent practical experience
- 5 years of experience in network operations and data communications
- 5 years of experience in program management
- 5 years of experience with network multilayered OSS, network design, and network security
- Experience with Enterprise Networking for e.g. L3 Routing, Switching (CISCO) SD WAN and Security
- Experience with Network Operations, OSS Systems, Software implementations and lifecycle management
- Experience with data communications protocols, Data Network design, Open Network protocols
- Familiarity with software/coding, operating systems, database structure
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
