Responsibilities For Optical System Design Engineer

  • Define system/sub-system/component-level specifications for new eye displays and related systems
  • Evaluate, design, and improve waveguide based near-eye display systems
  • Align current efforts with cross-functional teams across System, PD, software, imaging, and optics
  • Support internal optics modeling and simulation efforts
  • Work with internal and external cross-functional partners to explore existing and novel optical architectures, for near-eye display and related applications

Requirements For Optical System Design Engineer

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or a specialized field (e.g., Optics, Sensors, Audio/DSP, etc.), or equivalent practical experience
  • 4 years of experience working in a hardware technical environment, or 3 years of experience with an advanced degree
  • Experience with Optics Engineering
  • Experience with Display Optics
  • Experience with System Architecture and design
