Optical Transport Network Implementation Engineer, GNI Network Health

Google is seeking an Optical Transport Network Implementation Engineer to join their Network Delivery team. This role is crucial in executing deployment, maintenance, and operations of private data networks worldwide. As the initial point of contact, you'll work with Technical Program Managers, Network Engineers, Design and Infrastructure Engineers, and Field Engineers, collaborating with construction and telecommunications vendors to build the world's most reliable and scalable network.

The position involves managing metro and long-haul optical line system builds/decoms and network inventory, creating bills of materials, and deployment packages for optical systems. You'll be responsible for recommending physical infrastructure changes and utilizing standard tools and processes to complete metro optical network projects.

The role offers a competitive compensation package ranging from $111,000-$163,000, plus bonus, equity, and comprehensive benefits. You'll be part of a team that owns the full lifecycle of space, power, and network assets in Google's data centers and metro points of presence globally.
