Description For Partner Engineer, Google Cloud

Google Cloud Platform is seeking a Partner Engineer to play a crucial role in growing and supporting their cloud partner ecosystem. This position combines technical expertise with partnership development, requiring 10 years of cloud architecture experience. The role involves working closely with Partner Development Managers to enable and support Google Cloud partners, understanding their technical capabilities, and recommending solutions to customers.

The ideal candidate will be instrumental in helping partners succeed through various phases including proof of concept, migration, and deployment. They will lead efforts to enable partners across technologies and solutions, contributing significantly to customer adoption of Google Cloud services. This role requires deep technical knowledge combined with excellent communication skills, as you'll be working with both technical teams and executive stakeholders.

As part of Google Cloud, you'll be working with a platform that serves customers in more than 200 countries, helping organizations digitally transform their businesses. You'll be responsible for enabling partner technical teams, developing solution documentation, and creating technical assets that demonstrate the value of Google Cloud services. Responsibilities For Partner Engineer, Google Cloud

  • Enable System Integrator (SI) partners' and ISV technical teams' skills through prototyping and product integrations
  • Work with Partner Managers to identify and recruit partners in the market
  • Onboard ISV partners to the Marketplace and empower SI partners
  • Collaborate with ISV/SI partners to develop solution documentation and technical assets
  • Recommend integration strategies, enterprise architectures, and platforms for Google Cloud solutions

Requirements For Partner Engineer, Google Cloud

Kubernetes
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
  • 10 years of experience with cloud architecture working with system integrator as architect or delivery
  • Experience in designing and building architectures and with migration of workloads to cloud environments
  • Experience engaging with and presenting to technical stakeholders and executive leaders
  • Experience with Data Analytics/AI (preferred)
  • Experience building strategic business partnerships (preferred)
  • Experience with virtualization or containerization platforms
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience managing multiple stakeholders in fast-paced environment
