Google Cloud is seeking a Principal Architect to join their Customer Engineering organization. This hybrid technical and business advisor role leads cross-functional teams to help customers design, plan, implement, and govern enterprise cloud strategies. The ideal candidate will combine technical vision with business insight to drive cloud adoption and digital transformation.
As a Principal Architect, you'll work directly with strategic accounts, engaging with senior technical leaders to identify priorities and design comprehensive solutions using Google's ecosystem. You'll serve as a trusted advisor, providing expertise in public cloud and enterprise technology while promoting Google Cloud through various channels.
The role requires deep technical knowledge of cloud computing, enterprise architecture, and large-scale systems, combined with strong communication skills to effectively engage with executive stakeholders. You'll collaborate with specialists, product teams, and technical experts to deliver holistic solutions that drive business value.

Responsibilities For Principal Architect, Google Cloud
- Build trusted advisory relationships with strategic accounts and engage with Architects, VP Engineering, CTO and CIO
- Provide domain expertise around public cloud and enterprise technology
- Make recommendations on integration strategies, enterprise architectures, platforms, and application infrastructure
- Manage holistic enterprise architecture relationship with customers
- Travel to customer sites, conferences, and other related events (approximately 50%)
Requirements For Principal Architect, Google Cloud
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
- 10 years of experience as an enterprise architect or equivalent experience in a customer-facing role
- Experience in cloud market insights and cloud computing across applications, infrastructure, storage, platforms, or data
- Experience engaging with, and presenting to, technical stakeholders and executive leaders
- Ability to communicate in English fluently
- Experience with structured enterprise architecture practices and hybrid cloud deployments
- Understanding of large-scale computing solutions
