Google Cloud Platform is seeking a Principal Architect to lead cross-functional teams in helping customers design, plan, implement, and govern enterprise cloud strategies. This role combines technical leadership with business acumen, focusing on the retail and e-commerce sectors. As a Principal Architect, you'll work directly with high-level stakeholders, including CTOs and CIOs, to deliver business value through Google's ecosystem. The position requires deep expertise in cloud computing, enterprise architecture, and customer engagement.
The role is part of Google Cloud, which accelerates organizations' digital transformation across more than 200 countries. You'll be instrumental in shaping how businesses leverage Google's cutting-edge technology, working with a team dedicated to customer success. The position offers the opportunity to influence both technical direction and business strategy, partnering with Value Engineering to articulate the value of technical solutions.
This is an ideal role for someone who combines strong technical expertise with business acumen and enjoys working in a customer-facing capacity. You'll need to be comfortable with frequent travel (up to 50%) and be able to communicate effectively with both technical and business stakeholders. Responsibilities For Principal Architect, Retail and e-Commerce, Google Cloud
- Build trusted advisory relationships with tactical accounts and engage with Architects, VP Engineering, CTO and CIO
- Provide domain expertise around public cloud and enterprise technology
- Make recommendations on integration strategies, enterprise architectures, platforms, and application infrastructure
- Manage enterprise architecture relationship with customers
- Travel up to 50% of the time to customer sites, conferences, and other related events
Requirements For Principal Architect, Retail and e-Commerce, Google Cloud
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
- 10 years of experience as an enterprise architect or equivalent experience in a customer-facing role
- Experience in cloud market insights and cloud computing across applications, infrastructure, storage, platforms, or data
- Experience engaging with, and presenting to, technical stakeholders and executive leaders
- Experience with structured enterprise architecture practices and hybrid cloud deployments
- Experience in enterprise technology buying and evaluation process
- Experience in Retail and e-Commerce industries
