Google's Technical Infrastructure team is seeking a Principal Engineer to lead critical initiatives in AI, Trust, and Security for their Site Reliability Engineering organization. This role sits at the intersection of cloud infrastructure, artificial intelligence, and security, focusing on building and maintaining Google's next-generation platforms.

The position requires a strategic technical leader who will be responsible for architecting and implementing secure, reliable cloud AI platforms that serve a global user base. You'll work directly with Google's cloud AI, security, and sovereign workload teams to define technical direction and ensure the highest standards of platform reliability and security.

As a Principal Engineer, you'll be tasked with challenging the status quo and driving innovations that enhance platform capabilities. Requirements For Principal Engineer, AI, Trust, Security, Site Reliability Engineering

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, similar technical field, or equivalent practical experience
  • Experience in technical leadership and setting technical direction for engineering projects
  • Experience in architecting, designing, and developing distributed systems
  • Experience developing and implementing technical programs in security and/or AI engineering
  • Leadership experience in security, reliability and resilience space
  • Experience leading engineering projects at executive level within multinational organizations
  • Experience partnering and leading by influence across organizational boundaries
  • Understanding of compute, networking, application stacks, and supporting technologies
