As a Principal Engineer, Security at Google Cloud, you will own the security of your EA's product portfolio, focusing on delivering security enhancements and future-focused capabilities. Your main goal is to remove security risks for broad classes of customers. You'll drive major technical, product, and business strategies impacting multiple product areas and common infrastructure. You'll contribute to developing security and privacy infrastructure to protect Google networks, systems, and customer data. The role involves designing secure cloud services, addressing unique security challenges in hybrid, multi-cloud environments, and staying familiar with security and compliance issues in GenAI-based tools and applications. You'll analyze the EA risk landscape, identify common root-causes for security flaws, and implement systemic engineering fixes. This position requires strong software background, security knowledge, and excellent communication skills to convey complex technical concepts to diverse audiences. The role offers a competitive salary range of $278,000-$399,000 + bonus + equity + benefits, based on factors such as location, skills, and experience.
