Principal Engineer, File Solutions

The File Solutions team at Google Cloud provides fully managed file services for Enterprise and HPC and AI/ML customers, addressing workloads such as SAP and GKE applications. The team facilitates seamless migration to cloud, hybrid cloud solutions, and integration with other File solutions and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services. As a Principal Engineer in this team, you will drive technical decision-making and prioritization across File Solutions integration with external/internal products and infrastructure. You will guide a team of engineers based in India, Tel Aviv, and Kirkland, collaborate with engineering and product leadership on strategic roadmaps, and work closely with Developer partners and external companies to create the best file solutions for customers. This role requires extensive experience in distributed systems, storage systems, and technical leadership in a cloud computing environment. You will be responsible for achieving high quality, reliability, and development velocity while maintaining the highest performance, scale, and usability standards for Google Cloud's file portfolio.
