Description For Product Design Engineer, University Graduate, 2025

We research, design, and develop new technologies and hardware to make our user's interaction with computing faster, seamless, and more powerful.

As a Product Design Engineer, you will design and evaluate systems, identify product requirements and contribute to research and project planning. You will apply design, engineering, and technical expertise to influence cross-functionally and deliver reliable mass production components, and solve time-sensitive problems. You'll anticipate and address product design issues or risks, analyze data, and validate product design to suggest or implement design improvements. Additionally, you'll manage the product design, provide guidance to team members, and communicate progress, and request feedback to prevent/remove roadblocks.

This position is open for 2024 and 2025 graduates, offering an opportunity to work on cutting-edge technologies and contribute to Google's innovative products and services. You'll be part of a team that designs and builds the hardware, software, and networking technologies that power all of Google's services, working on projects that scale from the chip to the chiller.

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience using computer-aided design (CAD) tools such as 3D MCAD, NX, Creo, or Solidworks.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, or a related field.
