Description For Product Design Engineer, University Graduate, 2025

Google's Devices & Services team is seeking a Product Design Engineer to join their team. This role combines the best of Google AI, Software, and Hardware to create radically helpful experiences for users. As a Product Design Engineer, you will design and evaluate systems, identify product requirements, and contribute to research and project planning. You'll work on projects ranging from capturing and sensing the world around us to advancing form factors and improving interaction methods.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Applying design, engineering, and technical expertise to influence cross-functionally and deliver reliable mass production components
  • Solving time-sensitive problems
  • Anticipating and addressing product design issues or risks
  • Analyzing data and validating product design to suggest or implement improvements
  • Managing product design, providing guidance to team members, and communicating progress
  • Requesting feedback to prevent/remove roadblocks

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, or a related field, with experience using computer-aided design (CAD) tools such as 3D MCAD, NX, Creo, or Solidworks. A Master's degree in these fields is preferred.
