Google is seeking a Product Engineer for their NPI Product Operations team to join their Technical Infrastructure division. This role is crucial in bridging the gap between design and manufacturing operations for Google's hardware products. Responsibilities For Product Engineer, NPI Product Operations

  • Lead reviews between Design and Operations Engineering to motivate deliverables that are key to implementing the manufacturing plan and test strategy
  • Lead the technology assessment for new products. Work with the product team to highlight risks and develop mitigation plans
  • Provide on-site for pre-production builds. Ensure factory readiness, support manufacturing line bring-up
  • Partner with Quality Engineers to establish product quality and reliability goals
  • Coordinate release of NPI Bill of Materials (BOMs) into Product Data Management (PDM) system

Requirements For Product Engineer, NPI Product Operations

  • Bachelor's in Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or equivalent practical experience
  • 8 years of experience in the electronics manufacturing industry, hardware design, Printed Circuit Board Assembly (PCBA) manufacturing and testing
  • Experience in Design Validation Test Plan on an electronic assembly with the knowledge of Automatic Test Equipment (ATE), Design for X (DfX), quality, and reliability
  • Experience in developing solid, effective technical relationships with agreement manufacturers
  • Knowledge of system, functional, and board level testing
  • Excellent problem solving and organizational skills
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
