Description For Product Lifecycle Program Manager, Physical Infrastructure

Google is seeking a Product Lifecycle Program Manager for their Physical Infrastructure team to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. This role is crucial in managing Google's Technical Infrastructure, which powers their entire product portfolio. The position involves working with stakeholders across offices, time zones, and hemispheres to plan requirements, manage project schedules, identify risks, and communicate with cross-functional partners.

The role focuses on product lifecycle management, ensuring supply chain continuity, and maintaining infrastructure resilience. You'll be responsible for managing product portfolio transitions, risk mitigation, and executing qualification activities while meeting cost, quality, and capacity parameters. This position is part of the Technical Infrastructure team, which is responsible for developing and maintaining Google's data centers and building next-generation platforms.

Responsibilities For Product Lifecycle Program Manager, Physical Infrastructure

  • Enable the cross-functional leadership for product life-cycle management to deliver product roadmap health, supply continuity, and resilience
  • Manage product portfolio changes and transitions, identify and mitigate risks, resolve product related issues throughout the entire life-cycle
  • Plan and execute second source qualification activities and ensure transition to production within cost, quality, and capacity parameters, and ensure production transitions meet program goals

Requirements For Product Lifecycle Program Manager, Physical Infrastructure

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
  • 2 years of experience managing projects
  • Experience with supply chain operations in asset management, manufacturing, procurement, commodity management, or supplier management
  • MBA or Master's degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations Research, Operations Engineering or other relevant field (preferred)
  • Experience in multiple aspects of hardware operations (preferred)
  • Knowledge of hardware Bill of Materials (BOMs), process documentation and assembly and test processes (preferred)
  • Ability to communicate project requirements and schedules (preferred)
  • Excellent leadership, investigative, quantitative reasoning, problem-solving, creativity and strategic skills (preferred)
