Responsibilities For Product Manager, Android Media

  • Define, articulate, and advocate the product outlook, strategy, roadmap, and key performance indicators for the Android media experience
  • Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and user feedback analysis
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest trends in mobile audio and video technology
  • Write detailed product requirements articulating critical media edit/share/consumption user journeys
  • Build strong relationships and drive cross-functional internal and external OEM partners

Requirements For Product Manager, Android Media

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
  • 5 years of experience in product management or a related technical role
  • 2 years of experience taking technical products from conception to launch
  • Understanding of the Android ecosystem, including different device manufacturers, Android versions, and hardware capabilities
  • Familiarity with audio and video codecs (H.264, VP9, AV1, AAC, spatial audio)
  • Knowledge of media processing techniques and algorithms
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
