Description For Product Manager, App Content Safety

Google is seeking a Product Manager for App Content Safety to join their Devices & Services team. This role combines Google's AI, Software, and Hardware expertise to create innovative user experiences. The position involves working cross-functionally to guide products from conception to launch, connecting technical and business aspects. The Product Manager will be responsible for ensuring app store quality and safety, developing new features, and collaborating with various teams including Engineering, Product, Ops, Legal, and Policy.

The role is based in Google's Bengaluru office, where you'll be part of a team that's dedicated to organizing the world's information and making it universally accessible. You'll work on products that affect millions of people daily, breaking down complex problems into actionable steps that drive product development. Responsibilities For Product Manager, App Content Safety

  • Be responsible to identify, drive and land new initiatives to ensure quality, safe and compliant apps on the store
  • Be responsible for building new features and workflows. Partner with vertical teams (including Engineering, Product, Ops, Legal and Policy) to onboard new workflows and features on to the platform
  • Prioritize requirements, engage and drive engineering teams
  • Engage with the users of the platform to identify new use-cases and features that the platform needs to support
  • Communicate with stakeholders on expectations, roadmap, and priorities

Requirements For Product Manager, App Content Safety

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
  • 3 years of experience in product management or related technical role
  • 1 year of experience taking technical products from conception to launch
  • 4 years building platforms in a technology company (preferred)
  • Experience driving the product goals, go-to-market strategy, and design discussions (preferred)
