Description For Product Manager, Data Processing

Google's Corp Eng division is seeking a Product Manager for their Data Processing team to help build world-leading business solutions that scale Google's internal operations. This role combines technical expertise with product management skills to guide data processing products from conception to launch. You'll work at the intersection of database systems, ETL processes, and analytics, partnering with senior engineering leadership to deliver impactful solutions.

As a Product Manager at Google, you'll be responsible for connecting technical and business worlds, breaking down complex problems, and working collaboratively with engineers, designers, and marketers. The role focuses on building and executing strategies for data processing products, understanding various processing models, and creating integrated solutions that simplify data management and governance.

Responsibilities For Product Manager, Data Processing

  • Partner with senior-level engineering leadership in multiple product areas to identify needs and practices
  • Build direction and strategy, and drive execution for Data Processing products
  • Understand processing models like batch ETL and streaming, how they interface with data lakes/warehouses, and analytics
  • Work with cross-product teams to build integrated solutions based on Core Data's product portfolio

Requirements For Product Manager, Data Processing

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
  • 5 years of experience in product management or a related technical role
  • 3 years of experience in product management, database systems, ETL, data lakes/warehouses, or Online Analytical Processing (preferred)
  • Experience in life-cycle data rollouts, promoting product excellence and collaboration
  • Experience in leading cross-organizational efforts interacting with multiple director-level stakeholders
  • Experience working as a software engineer or in a similar technical role
  • Ability to deliver initiatives enabling teams to deliver products while creating solutions to generate data insights
