As a Product Manager for Google Compute Engineer Virtual Machines, you will be responsible for driving new capabilities for VM instances in the cloud. This includes intercepting new technologies, roadmap planning, business growth forecasting, and ecosystem and customer adoption. You will be responsible for the product strategy for the VM family, including associated business outcomes, and will present to key leadership inside Google Cloud.

You will need to understand competitive dynamics and industry trends in workload and hardware innovation. Additionally, you will drive new capabilities in the foundational Compute Infrastructure layer (Hypervisor and Virtualization Stack) and deliver innovation for Google Cloud.

This role requires a combination of technical expertise, business acumen, and leadership skills. You will work closely with creative engineers, designers, marketers, and other stakeholders to help design and develop technologies that improve access to the world's information.

Responsibilities For Product Manager, Google Compute Engineer Virtual Machines

  • Drive new capabilities for the Virtual Machine (VM) instances in cloud including intercepting new technologies, roadmap planning, business growth forecasting, ecosystem and customer adoption
  • Responsible for the product strategy for the VM family including the associated business outcomes including presenting to key leadership inside Google Cloud
  • Understand the competitive dynamics and industry trends on where the innovation is happening for both workloads and hardware

Requirements For Product Manager, Google Compute Engineer Virtual Machines

Linux
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
  • 5 years of experience in product management or related technical role
  • 2 years of experience developing or launching infrastructure products or technologies within networking, storage, compute hardware, databases, file systems, data analytics, cluster management, and other software infrastructure areas
