Description For Product Manager, Google Distributed Cloud, Compliance, Security

Google Distributed Cloud (GDC) is a portfolio of fully managed hardware and software solutions that extend Google Cloud's infrastructure and services. As a Product Manager for GDC Compliance and Security, you will be responsible for driving compliance programs, strategies, and tactics for GDC in public sector and regulated enterprise markets. You will work on identifying technology and AI-driven strategies to improve governance, risk, and compliance efficiency, gather compliance requirements from various customers, and work cross-functionally with go-to-market teams, product management, and engineering to support expansion of partner and customer programs.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Identifying technology and AI-driven strategies for governance, risk, and compliance efficiency
  2. Driving compliance programs for GDC in public sector and regulated markets
  3. Gathering compliance requirements from various customers and industries
  4. Cross-functional collaboration to support partner and customer programs
  5. Compiling GDC compliance insights to inform organizational learning and roadmaps

The ideal candidate will have experience in product management or related technical roles, with a focus on security, privacy, or related areas. Experience with global compliance frameworks, public sector work, and knowledge of IaaS, PaaS, and Kubernetes is preferred.

Responsibilities For Product Manager, Google Distributed Cloud, Compliance, Security

  • Identify technology and AI-driven strategies to improve governance, risk and compliance efficiency (e.g., repositories, query, and information orchestration tools)
  • Drive compliance program, strategy and tactics for GDC in public sector and regulated enterprise markets
  • Gather compliance requirements from various public sector customers, regulated industry, and related supply chains
  • Work cross-functionally with GDC go-to-market, product management, and engineering to support expansion of partner and customer programs
  • Compile GDC compliance insights and feedback to infuse learnings into the organization and roadmaps

Requirements For Product Manager, Google Distributed Cloud, Compliance, Security

Kubernetes
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
  • 5 years of experience in product management or a related technical role
  • Experience developing or launching products or technologies within security, privacy, or a related area
  • Experience working in Product Management, e.g. full stack software products, hardware, and value add services such as databases, AI/ML (preferred)
  • Experience with global compliance frameworks and accreditation (e.g., FedRamp High, ISO 27001, NIST 800-53, AU-ISM, etc.) (preferred)
  • Experience working in the public sector and regulated industries (preferred)
  • Experience with IaaS, PaaS, and Kubernetes (preferred)
