Description For Product Manager II, Privacy, Sovereignty and Compliance

Google Workspace's Digital Sovereignty team is seeking an experienced Product Manager II to lead their Data Export Platform product. This role combines technical product management with privacy and compliance expertise, focusing on expanding platform capabilities for data export, custom language model management, and enterprise solutions. The position requires deep understanding of regional data regulations and ability to shape Google's compliance leadership.

The role involves developing zero-code approaches for large language models, creating enterprise backup solutions, and understanding complex regulatory frameworks like GDPR and EU AI Act. You'll work directly with major customers across industries to develop solutions leveraging Google's leadership in Generative AI.

The ideal candidate brings 5+ years of product management experience, with specific expertise in technical product launches and data protection regulations. You'll need to demonstrate strong cross-functional leadership, working with engineering, UX/UI, sales, and finance teams to deliver comprehensive solutions.

This position offers competitive compensation ($142,000-$211,000) plus bonus, equity, and benefits.   • Develop a new product capability to build, feed, and manage custom large language models with a zero code approach
  • Create an enterprise back up and restore solution for data stewardship
  • Deliver a go-to-market plan, speaking with customers and regulators
  • Interact with largest customers to brainstorm industry solutions
  • Work cross-functionally to guide products from conception to launch

Requirements For Product Manager II, Privacy, Sovereignty and Compliance

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
  • 5 years of experience in product management or related technical role
  • 2 years of experience taking technical products from conception to launch
  • 2 years of experience with regulations like GDPR and country specific data regionalization requirements
  • Understanding of Generative AI and AI/ML technologies
  • Understanding of regulations like the EU AI Act, or ISO standards
