Description For Product Manager, Local Search Ads

Google is seeking a Product Manager for their Local Search Ads team, focusing on creating innovative ad experiences that connect businesses with users. This role sits within the Local and Vertical Launchpad (LVL) team, working on developing new formats to enhance user engagement and conversions in search results pages.

The position requires a blend of technical expertise and business acumen, with the successful candidate needing to guide products from conception to launch while working cross-functionally with engineers, designers, and marketers. The role involves creating new business generation experiences and collaborating with various stakeholders to drive product development.

Key responsibilities include managing the entire ad-stack, from ad-retrieval to format implementation, collaborating on UX design, and owning vertical-specific local ads experiences. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of product management experience, strong communication skills, and a track record of launching technical products.

Responsibilities For Product Manager, Local Search Ads

  • Work across the entire ad-stack, from ad-retrieval and ad-formats on SRP
  • Collaborate with UXR and UX design to build new ad-experiences and drive vertical-specific initiatives forward
  • Own efforts to build new local ads formats that'll drive impact across verticals
  • Own vertical specific local ads experiences (e.g., food, health and beauty, etc.)
  • Own the product portfolio around various attributes pertaining to Call and Click-to-Messaging (CTM) with Local Ads on SRP

Requirements For Product Manager, Local Search Ads

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
  • 3 years of experience in product management or a related technical role
  • 1 year of experience taking technical products from conception to launch
  • Experience with ads (preferred)
  • Experience with product management, product conception, launching, building, and growing multiple products (preferred)
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with stakeholders (preferred)
  • Passion for building high-quality user experiences and product excellence (preferred)
  • English proficiency is required
