Description For Product Manager, YouTube Tooling

As a Product Manager for the YouTube Commerce Tooling team, you will be essential to establish a new team and lead it to success. You will be building out the Tooling for the Commerce Platform, in partnership with the Engineering Leads and the cross-functional team in San Bruno.

Key Responsibilities: • Establish team norms and culture, serve as the key point of contact to the global team, and partner to establish goals of the team. • Execute on the Tooling product outlook and strategy. Validate proposals, both in terms of feasibility, and market size and opportunity. • Define, own, and align teams on product roadmaps that operationalize a defined strategy. • Own Product Requirements Documents (PRDs) and launches, collaborating with partner teams (e.g., Engineers, Program Managers, UX). • Manage and consistently communicate qualitative and quantitative status and product insights.

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
  • 5 years of experience in product management
  • Experience developing internet products and technologies
  • Experience working cross-functionally with engineering, UX/UI, sales, finance, and other stakeholders
  • Experience with commerce-related products focusing on platform APIs and tooling
  • Experience with product internationalization
  • Proficiency with SQL and data modeling
  • Ability to be clear, organized, with problem solving and communication skills
