Description For Product Manager, YouTube Trust and Safety Engagement Abuse

Google is seeking a Product Manager for the YouTube Trust and Safety team to lead efforts in combating engagement abuse on the platform. This role sits at the intersection of product management, trust & safety, and machine learning, focusing on protecting YouTube's vast community of users, creators, and advertisers.

The position requires a blend of technical expertise and strategic thinking, with a focus on developing and implementing solutions that detect and prevent scaled abuse on the platform. You'll be working with cutting-edge machine learning technologies while balancing complex trust and safety considerations.

As a Product Manager, you'll be responsible for guiding products from conception to launch, working closely with engineering teams in both San Bruno and Zurich. The role demands someone who can think both principally and pragmatically, finding balanced solutions in situations where there might not be obvious answers.

The ideal candidate brings significant experience in product management, particularly in abuse-sensitive domains, and has a track record of launching features at scale. You'll need to demonstrate strong communication skills, as you'll be working with cross-functional teams across Google and advocating for abuse resilience in product design.

At YouTube, the mission is to give everyone a voice and show them the world. This role directly contributes to maintaining the integrity of this mission by ensuring the platform remains safe and trustworthy for all users. You'll be working at the forefront of trust and safety technology, using machine learning to combat bad actors while preserving the platform's openness and creativity.

The position offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on one of the world's largest platforms, working with state-of-the-art technology and talented teams across the globe. If you're passionate about trust and safety, have strong product management skills, and want to work on problems that affect millions of users daily, this role provides an excellent opportunity to contribute to YouTube's mission of building a safer, more engaging platform for everyone.
