Description For Program Manager, Cloud Customer Capacity Planning

Google Cloud is seeking a Program Manager to lead their Cloud Customer Capacity Planning initiatives. This role sits at the intersection of technical infrastructure and customer success, working with Google Cloud's Large Customer Business and SRE teams to develop sophisticated capacity planning and forecasting solutions. The position requires a unique blend of technical understanding and program management expertise, focusing on optimizing cloud infrastructure capacity to meet customer demands.

As a Program Manager, you'll be responsible for orchestrating short to long-term demand planning, managing forecasting activities, and establishing robust methodologies for supply chain evaluation. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to implement automation, metrics, and tools that streamline processes and reduce inefficiencies. The role requires strong communication skills, including Mandarin fluency, as you'll be interfacing with various stakeholders across different regions.

Responsibilities For Program Manager, Cloud Customer Capacity Planning

  • Partner with Google Cloud's Large Customer Business and SRE Teams to develop proactive capacity planning and forecasting solutions
  • Define and tune automation, metrics, tools, programs and processes to meet customer needs
  • Orchestrate short, mid and long-term demand, manage long-range forecasting in partnership with power and supply chain
  • Establish and utilize best methods in evaluating supply chain's ability to meet customer demand

Requirements For Program Manager, Cloud Customer Capacity Planning

Kubernetes
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
  • 2 years of experience in managing projects
  • Experience in cross-functional collaboration, program management, communication, demand planning and stakeholder management
  • Ability to communicate in Mandarin fluently (preferred)
  • Experience in supply chain management, demand and capacity planning (preferred)
  • Experience in technical program management with IT Systems or IT Automation (preferred)
